Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-05-06Emigrate (“we”, “us”) helps you assess and apply for international relocation routes. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data.
What we collect
- Profile data you provide: name, email, age, phone, passport country.
- Documents you upload (CVs, certificates, prior visas) for our advisors to review.
- Selection data: your chosen pathway, sub-type, and destination countries.
- Authentication data managed by Better Auth: passkey credentials (public key only) and magic-link tokens.
- Payment metadata from Paystack or Flutterwave; we never store your card number.
- Standard server logs (IP, user-agent) for security and rate-limiting.
Why we collect it
- To match you with the right visa pathway and prepare your application.
- To process payment and send you receipts and case updates.
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the platform.
- To send you optional alerts about visa-rule changes (only with your consent).
How long we keep it
Active applications: for the duration of your engagement plus 7 years for legal/audit retention. Anonymous wizard sessions: 30 days. You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@emigrates.vappconsulting.com.
Who we share it with
We share data only with vetted sub-processors strictly necessary to deliver the service: Postgres-backed cloud hosting, S3-compatible object storage, payment providers, and the immigration authority handling your specific application. We never share your documents with third parties for marketing.
Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. If you are an EU/UK resident, the lawful basis for processing is contract performance and your consent for marketing alerts. Contact our DPO at privacy@emigrates.vappconsulting.com.
